- The stem is the main stalk of the plant.
- Stems hold up the leaves to the sunlight.

Xylem
Xylem transports water and minerals up from the roots, through the stem, and into the leaves.
Phloem
Phloem transports sugar produced in the leaves to the rest of the plant.

Roots have 3 main jobs:
- Absorb water and minerals from the soil
- Store food for the plant
- Anchor the plant in the soil

Leaves Take In:
1. carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O)
Leaves Make:
1. Leaves make food for the plant. This food is called glucose.
2. Leaves give off oxygen into the air.
